Daniel Fyfe - Divisional Landfill & Development Manager - Hanson
“I have worked in the waste industry across Australia and New Zealand over the last 25 years. During that time, I have worked together with LMS Energy for over a decade at two major landfill sites in Victoria being Hallam Road and Wollert Landfills. These projects included landfill gas extraction, flaring and power generation.
At both sites, LMS’ gas system design has significantly reduced landfill gas emissions whilst also generating renewable energy. I have always found LMS to be a professional and diligent company who continuously strive to be the best in their field.
In addition, I have also worked with LMS on Australia’s first solar on landfill project where a solar system was constructed on the landfill cap at the Wollert Landfill."
Bret Collins - General Manager - QLD Operations & Business Development - REMONDIS Australia
“As a joint venture partner of LMS Energy, I have found the company to be committed to providing a high standard of work whilst also striving to achieve success for our landfill-gas-to-energy project at the Swanbank Landfill.
Together, LMS and Remondis are currently generating enough power from the Swanbank Bioenergy Facility to power around 2,200 homes in the local community.
Prior to the current project, the joint venture provided landfill gas from the Swanbank Landfill to the CS Energy coal-fired power station. This project was the first of its kind in Australia and was very successful lasting more than 10 years which assisted in the reduction of fossil fuel power generation."
Mark Hindmarsh – Chief Executive Officer (Former) – SRWRA
“The Authority has been working with LMS for three years now and this relationship has developed into an excellent working partnership which is reflected across all levels of the LMS business. As a busy waste management operation, having our gas management obligations professionally managed gives the Authority great peace of mind.
LMS have set a very high standard in its management of our site with great levels of communication and trust. This has been evident from the initiation of our existing contract to date. I personally like the fact that the LMS business communicates the same message throughout its business and their response is second to none. Since commencing working with LMS we have always had a great continuity of service from the staff with the CEO visiting our site on several occasions which gave us a great real feel for the company and our partnership.
LMS have always strived to improve on the services and infrastructure at the SRWRA site and have made significant improvements to the operations and reporting systems which is a great credit to the company. It is especially great to see the CEO’s message and ethos for the company is consistent throughout the group.A great team with a responsible attitude toward achieving a common goal.”
LMS has a long list of successful and satisfied project partners due to our quality assurance and focus on collaboration.
Testimonial – Rockhampton Regional Waste and Recycling
LMS were awarded a long-term contract with Rockhampton Regional Council in early 2020, after a lengthy and robust tender process for the design, construction, operation, maintenance and monitoring of landfill gas extraction and electricity generation at its operating Lakes Creek Road landfill and closed Gracemere landfill.
Since being awarded the contract LMS have been proactive and energetic in establishing an active extraction system where possible with positive results.
The LMS Team is professional and responsive to our needs and are committed to produce a high quality outcome that reflects well on all stakeholders.
We look forward to continuing our relationship with LMS through to full electricity generation and to hopefully introduce other initiatives as they are presented.
I personally thank LMS for their efforts and performance to date.
